 by: Jenny McLane

It’s sleek. It’s trusted. It’s got style. Just when you think your faithful BMW is working perfectly, your wheels start to look as if they are wobbling a little now and then, and it seems like they might throw you off the road anytime soon. You certainly are sure it was not something you did because you surely have been taking the best kind of care for your good buddy. You decide that maybe this has happened because of frequent use. You surely would want to show off this sleek little thing as much as possible. And with the great comfortable ride it gives you, you just cannot help but use it anytime you need to or anytime you just feel you want to strut this little guy’s stuff. This may be hard to accept but it seems like you may have to say goodbye to your BMW wheels and replace them. Soon.

Auto Parts Fast Offers Replacement Dodge Mirrors for the Winter
 by: Stacey Wilson

Winter has come again. But while some people would wait for this season with great anticipation, the majority of Dodge vehicle owners and drivers who advocate safe driving would not. For them, this would just be another season for falling Dodge side view mirrors. Gladly, Auto Parts Fast has quickly responded to the problem by offering new and discounted Dodge side mirrors on their website.

Among the many things that drivers would hate about the winter are snowfalls and snowstorms. Any of these two can bring damages to a vehicle and among the usual casualties are the side view mirrors. Side view mirrors, formally called exterior rearview mirrors, would easily fall off the sides of the vehicle when hit by snow. And even if they don’t, there’s always a big chance that their surface would end up broken.

Advantage Of Disc Brakes
 by: Elli Potrelli

Whether you drive a Mercedes, a motorbike or a pickup truck, you probably have disc brakes on your vehicle. And even though you probably never think about their function, they are the single most important function on your vehicle. Though there are several types of motor brakes, the drum and the disk, the disk brakes are more commonly used. Disc brakes are far better than drum brakes because of their powerful stopping ability. Disc brakes handle substantially better in wet weather conditions. Why chance anything but the best?

What are Disc Brakes?

Put simply, disc brakes consist of two pads that grasp a rotating disk. The disk, or rotor, connects to the wheels by an axle. You control the grasping power. When you pull on the brake, the clamps come together on the disk, forcing it to stop spinning and causing your vehicle to slow down and eventually stop.

Wide Open Spaces - How To Share The Roads Peacefully With Trucks
 by: Mike Dobson

On your local news program, you may hear stories about an “out of control” truck wiping out a car load of people or destroying property. The media sensationalizes the facts, often putting most of the blame with the truckers. However, many times that is not the case. For the most part, truckers are responsible drivers who are diligent about road safety. Not only are they making sure they adhere to the rules of the road, but they also have to keep an eye on the nincompoop drivers of passenger vehicles who think they are the exception to the rules.

There are a few common problems that truckers come across with motorists. These problems are often also the ones most sited on insurance claims. Are you guilty of any of these practices?:

1. Brake this habit - Everyone at one point or another gets stuck behind a large truck. So the most logical next step is to change lanes to pass the truck. No problems with that the problem lies in a vehicle cutting back into the truck’s lane right in front of them, then braking for a turn or just slowing down, period. What most motorists don’t take into account is that truckers need a lot of space in order to slow down, at least two to three times the amount of passenger vehicles.

Go Places with Honda Wheels
 by: Terry Brown

Where would you be without your Honda wheels? Nowhere.

Honda wheels are parts of your vehicle that are really a requirement and are in fact important and essential. And among all parts of your vehicle, they are regarded as the strongest for they hold the responsibility of accommodating the full of the whole vehicle, along with the driver and the passengers on board. They also follow the commands of the driver as to where they would be traversing. Honda wheels also have to overcome and prevail over every obstacle along the way so as to ensure safety and ensure the right destination.

Rims is also another name of these wheels. They are these round metal rings that hold tires around them. They are made up of a circular frame with spokes or a solid disc that can rotate on a shaft or axle. Too loose or too tight when installed, you have to make sure that your Honda wheels are put in just right so as not to affect your vehicle’s performance.

When Do You Need To Change Your Oil?
 by: Donald Buske

The most important service you can perform to maintain your vehicle is an automotive oil change.

Engine oil is the life blood of your vehicle, and if changed on a regular three thousand mile

interval, it will keep your automobiles engine running for years. While oil keeps things

lubricated, the oil filter keeps out the impurities, so the oil filter needs to be changed

at every interval. If you plan to perform an oil change on your own, you will need the correct

auto repair manual. Always consult your repair manual for proper oil quantity, oil weight, and

the proper oil filter when performing an automotive oil change.

Most automotive manufacturers will suggest that you do an automotive oil change between five

thousand and seventy five hundred miles, but I would only recommend that interval for synthetic

oil. The maintenance schedules that they publish have two options, standard and extreme. Most

consumers think that the standard schedule is fine no matter where you live, but 75% of the

Shattered Front Lights on your Jeep? Get the Right Replacements at Auto Parts Deal
 by: Sarah McBride

The various forward lights on your Jeep are installed at its front end for a specific purpose: to make night and low visibility driving safer. First, those lights allow you to see the road ahead clearly at night and at other low visibility conditions. And while doing this, the lights also allow other people, especially drivers of vehicles approaching yours, to see your vehicle from afar.

As genuine off-road vehicles, however, Jeep vehicles were made for trekking the rough and rugged off-road track. Using the vehicle for off-roading, however, would only mean damages to the Jeep front lights. It is, therefore, not surprising if you just see the front lights of your Jeep shattered after an off-road ride. Good thing, there is an online auto parts supplier that can provide you with all the replacement lights you will need at the front area of your Jeep. That online auto parts supplier is Auto Parts Deal.

Engine Overheating—Not a Problem for Ford Radiators from Ford Parts Discount
 by: Jay Stevens

Ford radiators are designed to keep the engine of your Ford vehicle cool. However, the same components are being pointed as one of the major causes of engine overheating and car breakdown—that is, when the radiator has failed or malfunctioned. Ford radiators from Ford Parts Discount, however, are not bound to experience these problems, at least not years after it was bought and installed in your Ford.

The radiator is that component of your Ford’s engine cooling system whose main function is to dissipate the heat that the coolant has absorbed to the outside atmosphere. For this reason, the radiator is often installed just in front of your Ford’s grille, allowing it to make use of the air that passes through the vehicle’s grille insert.

Although its name would imply that it radiates heat, the radiator actually dissipates the coolant’s heat not by radiation but by convection. Hot after absorbing all the heat in the engine block, the coolant enters the radiator through the radiator’s upper hose. From there, the coolant trickles down or across the small tubes that makes up the radiator core. These tubes are attached to flat, metal pieces called fins that allow air from the grille to pass through the radiator. As the coolant passes through the small tubes, it transfers the heat it has absorbed to the blowing air from the grille.
