Popular Motor Scooters Compared
by: Sally Johnson
Vespa scooters are one of the oldest names in the scooter business. They have been manufacturing motor scooters since 1946 and their models are in great demand world wide. There are several popular Vespa motor scooters that range in size from 50cc to 200cc.
The Vespa Granturismo has a 200cc engine which is the biggest, fastest and most powerful Vespa ever made. It has a 4-stroke 4-valve engine that is liquid-cooled. With its powerful engine it has the ability to pull away from almost any kind of traffic you could encounter. Even with its larger and more powerful engine it is still a very quiet motor scooter and emits exceptionally low levels of pollution.
The Granturismo has 12 inch wheels and both front and rear hydraulic disc brakes. Plus it has some good storage space. Two open face helmets can be stored under the seat plus a few extras in the glove compartment.
Other popular Vespa models are the LX, PX 150, PX 150 Limited Edition and some top motor scooters in their Piaggio line.

Auto Detailing: Making Your Old Car New Again
by: Christopher M. Luck
The wear and tear of seemingly ordinary, day to day driving can take its toll on even the most cautious of drivers. Nicks, scratches, dents, chips, and the like, can etch the surface of your car like an acid, marring the pristine finish it had when you drove it off the lot. These unwanted (and yet inevitable) scars are the proud automobile owner’s nightmare, but can be easily remedied by way of the talents of a professional auto detailer.
Those long bouts of highway driving we are all subjected to from time to time, can be as frustrating for the drone of the open road as much as they are for the caked layer of insects which inevitably grace the hood, bumpers, windshields, and grills of a once clean car. It’s an annoyance most easily absolved through a thorough automobile detailing. A good auto detailer can polish, buff, and wax your car back into the condition you remember it, and the condition you deserve it to be in. Of course, you might say, professional automotive detailing is not a necessity, I can scrub and polish my own car, thank you very much.” But this can be a dangerous misconception. Using the wrong equipment, or using improper techniques, or unqualified persons to work on your car can actually do more harm than good.

Racing off road or on a paved track in one of your sleek go carts, maneuvering around sharp corners and lesser gocart drivers, is just about as fun as it gets for kids or adults alike. Experience the fun and excitement of go carting and you’ll be hooked for life.

Demystifying The Tire Sidewall Code
by: Debbie Pettitt
So, you need new tires for your car or truck, but how do you know what to buy? What do all those alphanumeric codes printed on the tire sidewalls mean, anyway?
If you’re in the market for new tires, you may simply want to replace your worn tires with exactly the same tire it came with. But you MAY want to consider an upgrade. If you know how to read the tire sidewalls, chock full of valuable information, you’ve got an advantage over most people and are prepared to make an informed decision. So let’s get underway!
Tire Size Markings (example: P215/65R15 89H)
Broken down:
P = Passenger
Other designations are
LT = Light Truck
T = Temporary (spare tire)
215 is the width (in millimeters) of the tire from sidewall to sidewall. A wider tire has more grip but the bad news is that you lose fuel economy, hear more noise and the tires don’t work as well in the rain.
65 is the aspect ratio

Honda Dirt Bikes - Everyone Wants A Honda
by: Mark Sturge
There are dirt bikes, and then there are Honda dirt bikes. A Honda represents speed, power and maneuverability (making it obvious why they are the top-sellers). Quality is its ultimate trademark, however, and a Honda dirt bike never fails to please.
And, with a wide range of choices, you are sure to find one tailored for your racing style–whether professional or amateur, you will see and feel the difference of Honda dirt bikes. It’s not just riding or racing; it becomes an experience.
And, to fully enjoy that experience, you should understand all aspects of what makes Honda dirt bikes… well, a Honda dirt bike. Don’t cringe. Some history lessons are worth knowing.
Honda is a name that summons respect in the biking world, though no one would have guessed that from its dubious beginnings and low sales. When Soichiro Honda opened the first store in Los Angeles in 1959, the reception was tepid at best. The American people were already devoted to their Harleys and Triumphs. Honda tried, in vain, for that first year to sell his products, but was only able to come up with 1700 units. The American market refused to let him in.

Tips On Shipping Your Motorcycle
by: Sintilia Miecevole
There are quite a few differences between car and motorcycle shipping. While a car has a reliable handbrake and four wheels for extra stability a motorcycle is quite different by design having only two wheels amd nothing to keep the bike stationery except the stand. You might think that motorcycle shipping would be cheaper than car shipping because of the difference in size of vehicles but this is rarely the case. The closed carriers that are often used should be specially designed to carry motorcycles and this will mean that there will either be palettes specially designed for the purpose or there will be specially fitted tracks that serve the same purpose. What this means is that a motorcycle basically takes up the same room as a car when it needs to be shipped anywhere.
How expensive is motorcycle shipping?
This is dependant on two main factors. How far you are travelling and what services the company you intend to use has to offer. There are a variety of different services that a shipping company can offer you. You would be better using a specialist motorcycle shipper than a car shipper that offers motorcycle shipping as an extra service.

The RV Blue Book; The Smart Book
by: Mark Sturge
That old RV taking up space in your driveway? You remember why you bought it–you wanted to escape your daily life and take off down the road, headed to destinations uncertain. Of course, that was before you realized that you didn’t have the time or the money to afford it. Now, you’ve let it gather rust spots. Perhaps it’s time for a change. Perhaps it’s time to sell.
Of course, you could always put an ad in your local paper and hope that the prices offered are good enough, but why deal with all the guess work? Why not, instead, do the sensible thing and use a RV Blue Book? Not only will you know how much to sell your old RV for, but you’ll also be able to find proper venues to sell it.
Don’t be too hasty with which RV Blue Book you choose, however. There are many available and some of them are less than helpful. What you need is to decide what is best for you and your RV. Things a proper RV Blue Book will have you consider:

Yamaha Dirt Bikes: Not For The Timid
by: Mark Sturge
There are few companies that can rival the products of Yamaha Dirt Bikes–known for its quality and superior work, this company consistently creates what the public wants. And, of course, its dirt bikes are of no exception. The Yamaha brand is one of power and precision and is a constant favorite of professional and amateur alike.
What astounds many riders, however, is the company’s odd origins. Few can wrap their motocross minds around how a brand known for its dirt bikes could originally stood for music.
In 1888, Torakusu Yamaha founded the Yamaha Musical Instrument Company. It was a great success and, after only ten years, he joined with other like-minded businessmen to create the Nippon Gakki Company. Though Yamaha died in 1916, his company was able to stand natural disasters, labor problems and even World War Two. Of course, the company’s production had changed to fit the times–what was left of war time machinery was used to create a new product: motorcycles.
Since then, Yamaha Dirt Bikes has become a leader among the field, creating quality products.

The History of GM - General Motors
by: William Berg
The history of GM, the world’s largest automaker, saw it’s beginning in 1908. The company was founded by William Durant in the year 1902. The shrewd businessman that he was, Durant realized that the future lay with cars and not carriages. Initially, the company was founded as a holding company for Buick. The latter part of the year saw the company acquiring Oldsmobile, followed by the possession of Cadillac, Oakland and Elmore in the very next year.
Many of the motor companies were in dire straits during the difficult years of the early 1900’s. The stock market panic in 1907 put a lot of small companies into financial distress. Many of these companies were running on credit from various bankers. This was a golden opportunity for Durant, who proceeded to buy smaller car builders, and companies that built car parts as well as car accessories. In 1908, these various companies were folded into a single unit, thus creating the new GM entity. This marked the exciting beginning of the true history of GM.
