Go Karts Are Fun, But Are They Safe?
by: J Larry Alan
Go karts are thrilling, but are they dangerous? By taking a few safety precautions you can eliminate just about all of the dangers.
Go karts are fast, exciting and easy to handle, and there are tracks all over the country catering to every age range from kids to teens to adults. Gokarts are generally easy to drive, easy to control and are how you can experience the excitement of Formula One racing without as much of the danger.
Go-karts are just beginning to come into their own and are geared toward beginners in either off road or paved track go kart racing. They are built to withstand years of use and abuse and are terrific when it comes to performance, styling and low maintenance.
There are many types of vehicles that are built for fun. These include ATVs, dirt bikes, scooters, mopeds, mini bikes and go karts. If you are looking to find some excitement with 4 wheels then you have to discard the dirt bike, scooter, moped and mini bike. And the all terrain vehicles are typically made for traveling off road. That leaves the go kart. If you want to go racing like the big boys, with a mighty gasoline powered engine and relative safety, go karts are what you will want to be racing.

Negotiate The Cheapest Auto Loan
by: Jay Moncliff
Rather than luck, getting the best rate on your auto loan is a skill that can be learnt, where knowing how to negotiate is the crucial component to getting the best deal for yourself. The best way to dispel nerves while negotiating is by remembering that you are trying to save yourself money, and without these nerves, you will easily find the courage to drive down the rate they are offering you. The following suggestions will also help you as you go through your uto loan interest rate negotiations.
Auto Loan Tip #1 Buy at the End of the Month
Frequently the marketing tactics of auto dealerships involve contests, with the winner receiving either a physical or monetary prize and some coverage in the local newspapers. Research indicates that these contests run for a month on average, by the end of which salesmen are desperate for a sale as buyers are waiting to see who wins, rather than purchase. Use this desperation for your own benefit, as the salesman will be more focussed on the sale than the margin it will earn him, and you will be able to drive the overall sale price down. The result of a lower sale price is a lesser amount financed, and this might enable you to negotiate better terms for your auto loan.

GMC to Launch All New Pick Ups Early
by: Matthew C. Keegan
Published reports are indicating that General Motors will move up the production of their updated line of GMC and Chevrolet pick up trucks by three months with the new models making their debut in October 2006. Some are calling this move an act of desperation on the part of GM which has been socked by extensive criticism over its product line, while others are hailing it as a bold, strategic initiative. Regardless, this is an unusual move for the world’s number one automaker, one that could help the company get back on its feet. Let’s take a look at the new trucks and what they will offer to you, the consumer.
High gas prices, quality problems, and a perception that the company offers products that no one wants has been plaguing General Motors for much of the past year. With plant closures coming, layoffs pending, and market share decreasing, little good news has been focused on “the general” by the automobile press. Fortunately, GM is battling back with fresh models set to be released including SUVs and trucks, which are the “bread and butter” vehicles of the company. Here is what you can expect to see when the new trucks enter the market in Autumn 2006:
Automobile Tax Expenses

Automobile Tax Expenses
by: Richard Chapo
If you use a vehicle for conducting business, you can deduct certain automobile tax expenses from your tax bill. This is true even if you use the vehicle for personal and business needs.
Automobile Tax Expenses
The powers that be have historically written sections into the tax code promoting business activities. One of the traditional write-offs has always been the expenses associated with using a vehicle for business purposes.
The simplest automobile tax expense situation is one in which a vehicle is used entirely for business. For example, if you have a van used for a delivery service and nothing personal, all expenses associated with the van can be written off. This is known as the exclusive use situation. For many small businesses, however, a vehicle will be used for both personal and business reasons.
Where you use a vehicle for both personal and business reasons, you can only deduct the automobile expenses associated with the business use. Keep in mind that driving to and from work is not considered business mileage, while driving from an office to meet a client is considered business mileage.

Renault Eyes Purchasing Saab
by: Matthew C. Keegan
With the misfortunes of America’s two largest automakers being trumpeted frequently on the news, it seems as if little attention is being paid to some of the other automakers out there. France’s Renault, once in poor shape itself, has rebounded nicely and is prospering with its relationship with Nissan, a company it has controlling interest in. Speculation is that Renault wants a greater piece of the luxury car market, even beyond Nissan’s luxury division, Infiniti. Would General Motors consider selling Saab to Renault or would the French automaker be better off looking elsewhere? Let’s take a look at some options for Renault.
Make a bid for Saab. It is no secret that the Swedish automaker hasn’t been much of a hit for General Motors. Unlike the other Swedish automaker Volvo, itself owned by Ford, Saab has produced little benefit for GM since being brought into the fold in 1990. A clash in management styles hasn’t helped with GM’s line management style going up against Saab’s egalitarian style. Although not exactly a luxury line, Saab could be upgraded and give Renault renewed access to the American market and much needed cash for GM.

Air Compressors - What You Definitely Need to Know
by: Bill Harris
Perhaps the most important question of all when it comes to thinking about buying an air compressor is do you really need to buy one? If you use an air compressor for an odd job every now and then, you’re probably much better off simply renting one when you need to. If you use an air compressor often, though, then you probably should go ahead and buy one, since those rental fees or leasing fees do add up over time.
When you start planning for your actual air compressor purchase, you’ll want to first consider what types of jobs you’ll be using it for. Since air compressors are rated and sold according to horsepower, you need to know what horsepower is needed for the particular tools you’ll need be using the air compressor with. Don’t start your shopping until you know this or you may end up buying more horsepower than you need—or can really afford.

How To Get An Extra $1500 For Your Trade In
by: Gus Skarlis
If your’re trading in a car to a dealer follow these
steps and get an extra $500 to $1500 for it!
Get the wholesale price for the car your’re trading in.
This allows you to have a starting figure and know
what the dealer thinks your vehicle is worth.
Now you’ll know what you can expect to get from your
car, but the dealer won?t make it easy.
Remember, they’re trying to make a profit, and giving
you as little as possible for your trade-in is another
way they can make money.
They’ll try to bargain down the price they’ll give you
for your car by saying:
There are huge rebates on the new ones which affects
the secondary market.
“That’s a nice car, but we have 6 just like it already
on the lot.?
Oh, that’s an old body style, they’re impossible to
sell anymore.
Wow, this one’s been through the wringer there sure
are a lot of dings and scratches.”

Auto Financing Online
by: Mike Hamel
More and more consumers are getting their auto financing online instead of from the dealerships where they buy their vehicles. Getting auto financing from a dealership has some benefits:
• Convenience - vehicles and financing are in one place and the dealer is motivated to find financing for buyers, no matter their circumstances.
• More options - a dealer’s relationships with a variety of banks and finance companies mean they can offer a range of loans to fit a buyer’s credit rating.
• Special programs - sometimes dealers can offer manufacturer-sponsored, low-rate programs, but usually only to people with good credit.
But getting auto financing online offers even more advantages:
• Certainty - buyers know how much they can spend before setting foot on a dealer’s lot.
• Clout - buyers with financing in hand are treated like cash customers and are in a stronger negotiating position.
• Cash savings - because of competition, online buyers often get the lowest interest rate possible for someone with their credit rating.
• Calmness - buyers aren’t subjected to the high-pressure tactics of a dealer’s finance department.

Econoline Hood, Windshield, Well Protected with Air Deflectors from Ford Parts Discount
by: Jay Stevens
Annoyed by the nicks and scratches that you see on the hood of your Ford Econoline van? Or do you simply hate it when minor road debris hit your van’s windshield while you are driving? Well, you can’t prevent all the bugs, road debris and wind from hitting the hood and the windshield of your Ford Econoline van, but there is a way to fend off most of them. That is by using the Ford Econoline Air Deflector, an auto accessory that has long been available at Ford Parts Discount.
An air deflector is a panel that is positioned at an angle on the front of an automobile’s hood, although there are also air deflectors that are mounted on the roof of vehicles, especially if the vehicle is a truck. The main function of an air deflector in a vehicle is to redirect airflow so that it would travel up and over the vehicle. This prevents a lot of wind, along with the minor road debris and small insects it carries with it, from hitting the hood and the windshield of the vehicle. Thus, air deflectors can really help protect the hood and windshield of your Ford Econoline van from nicks and scratches.

Subaru Parts from Parts Train: Simply the Best Quality

Oh yes. That was your Subaru breaking down, alright. Surely, you have heard that people have been noticing your arrival even from a mile away. Yes, the truth hurts but you do have to do something about your trusty old vehicle. It might not be something you did, but possibly could be something you did not do. You certainly forgot to change your vehicle’s body parts. And they need taking care of right now. Who knows what could fall off any moment?
You see, even if you do treat your Subaru with utmost care and attention, you just cannot help it if wear and tear threaten you and your car’s bond. Sometimes, just like people, your car’s body parts have maybe taken its toll through time. After going through the country with your automobile and several miles more on your Subaru’s mileage, you may have encountered several little accidents along the way which may have done some minute damages to your vehicle. However, as time passes by, these little damages accumulate so now you are certainly looking at one big gaping thing to be fixed. You definitely have been noticing the little telltale signs like the small squeaks or minor rattling but you have not taken and given any attention to it. Yet.
