The ideal chain is well-adjusted and lubricated. It must be free from dirt and there is an ample supply of oil or wax to lubricate it.

Most bikes are using O-ring chains. These chains come with links that have lubrication trapped inside the link at the back of O-rings. Lubricating the chains prolongs its life. Nonetheless, you need considerable amount of expert’s advice so as to perfect the art of lubricating. In this case, O-ring welcomes some external lube in order to cut down the friction on the sprocket. This way, the temperature is kept running down.

Nowadays, there is what we call spray lube. It is one of the most practical lube we have today. You need spray it to the chain while the latter is still warm, like for instance after a ride. Let the carrier liquids evaporate. This will take about ten minutes or so. Apply it to the inside of the chain. You can do this by spraying it on top of the lower run and forward of the rear sprocket.

Aligning the wheels is universally regarded as a sound bike practice. It is a good thing to have both ends of the motorcycles aligned so as to make cornering smooth and predictable. In addition, alignment makes less wear and tear for the wheels.

It is rare for riders to do alignment on new bikes. This is because innovations greatly improve production tolerances over time. Thus, most bikes now are pretty straight.

However, we have to do the aligning to most of the models we have these days. Before you proceed to the aligning, be sure that the motorcycle parts are free from flaws and the basics are fine.

Traveling in a straight line will definitely bring you to your desired destination with lesser effort and calculation. If the wheels are not aligned, the bike may have the tendency to pull on one side or steer in one direction easier. These circumstances can lessen the bike’s tyre span.

What’s In My Dream Garage?!
 by: Maricon Williams

I am usually fascinated with the enchanting designs and the experimentation of colors especially in bathroom, kitchen, living room same as other individuals. Nevertheless, I am also fascinated with the garage appearance. It’s a little bit strange but its part of my fetish.

Dream garage?! It may sound awful to those who are not very particular with it. But for me it matters a lot. It must be cozy so as to complement the house. It must be situated in the right potion of the house so that it will not become a nuisance. Third, it must contain significant automobiles. Some may be treated as plain collector’s item while some are precious memorabilia.

My dream garage will be composed of the pieces of yesteryears and today. What belongs to the past? Well, to name a few - Alfa 8c35, Ferrari 312 T and Ferrari 250LMthis three may not be as famous as those who are driven by Enzo Ferrari during the pre-war period nor by Scuderia Ferrari but these three are also striking. In fact they are a sight to behold. They may seem old yet very classic. The only problem with these cars though is the maintenance. Nowadays, their parts may be scarce if not already obsolete.

Nostalgia of Motorcycle Lovers

In fact, my brothers spent hours and hours in the garage to see to it that his beloved bikes look great and are performing well. From him I know the essentials of how to maintain it and other stuffs that must be known about motorcycles. My brother has taught me the different parts. To name a few there are aftermarket and oem parts. Aftermarket motorcycle parts include air filters, brakes, windshields and exhaust systems. Oem motorcycle parts or original equipment manufacturer parts are the parts that were on the machine when purchased new from the manufacturer. I also learned that if a part has been discontinued, you will not be able to acquire it again most likely.

Motorcycling and racing are interesting fields. It’s addicting. And now that I know the basics, something is driving me to know the restPerhaps that’s the reason why it is addicting!

There is something in motorcycles that make its riders grope unto its memories. The passion is burning hot like fire and the need to keep every memory attached to it cannot be overemphasized. I recalled a composition where a motorist made a narrative about his firsts in connection with automobiles. He wrote down the dates, description of all automobile and finally he pasted some pictures for documentation. Awesome care to be able to gather all the pictures together. And the bond still lives on

“Remember the Brakes.!”
 by: Maricon Williams

I thought my father must probably think that most motorcycle accidents are the result of drivers forgetting to hit the brakes. And then it happens BLAG! - I hit a SUV in front of me and guess what? I forgot to hit the brakes. So my father was right. But still, even after that incident I simply just ride my motorcycle without any care. It’s always fun to ride around town racing with friends on busy streets or beating the red light. That was then, when I can still walk and ride my motorcycle but now I’m stuck in my wheelchair although I still do racing with my co-paralyzed friends.

Sad, isn’t it? However, no matter how many stories like this are published or written still very few people do actually care to stop and read and then learned from the mistakes of others.
